Shouldn't we all form an energy consumers Co-op and buy our gas etc independently of the energy companies? - wholesale energy bars
I'm sure if we all have a purchasing power far better than any other company have joined, all you have to do is a relatively modest sum of money to pay for administrative costs.
After all, what the power company only those who buy gas in bulk and then resell it to us on a great brand. Everything they do is really manage to pay a fortune. You pipelines and terminals.
Why not do it ourselves and make the beggars in the economy?

I belong to a cooperative power (which have a monopoly on the service sector has). Our prices are lower than all municipal and private providers in adjacent regions. In reality, would form an electric cooperative that time, it would be difficult to require a very special group of "experts" who work for the freedom to lead a monopoly .... For example, if it was a serious threat, some private providers have their prices below cost for some time low, I had to kill very quickly. As with gasoline, which could do very easily .. Locally, there are many successful cooperatives in the retail gasoline in the United States and Canada, especially in rural or formerly rural areas where the groups met outside of the major benefits realized what could be done.
